About

My Story

Welcome to Lassana Creations! Here's where my journey began

The Beginning

My name is Shantala (Ratnam) Copeland, born in Sri Lanka and raised in the United States after moving here at the age of 12. My multicultural upbringing shaped my perspective, resilience, and appreciation for storytelling, connection, and creativity.

My husband Aaron  and I have two amazing children—our son Jamar, 21, and our daughter Nevaeh, 17. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and much of my creative spirit comes from the strong women who influenced me most: my Mother Sherani, Aunt Dilhani, and Sister Minoli. Their passion, strength, and creativity inspired me to explore my own talents and trust my voice.

Through my work in networking and marketing, I discovered a deeper calling—to move beyond strategy and fully embrace my creative abilities. What began as professional experience evolved into a desire to build meaningful connections,  and create work that feels both intentional and impactful.

Lassana Creations holds a special place in my heart, the word Lassana comes from Sri Lanka, In the Sinhalese language and it means “Beautiful”

My Mission

My mission is to bring together creativity, marketing insight, and relationship-building to pursue projects that align with purpose, growth, beauty and authenticity. I chose the name Lassana Creations because it reflects not only the beauty of creativity, but also the meaning, love, passion behind everything I create.
